Many pre-schools and kindergartens use Play Dough for tactile learning and exploration. Unfortunately, Play Dough cannot be enjoyed by some children with wheat allergies. Fortunately, there is a homemade wheat-free recipe that approximates the qualities of Play Dough:
1/2 c. rice flour 1/2 c. corn starch 1/2 c. salt 2 tsp. cream of tarter 1 c. water 1 tsp oil
Cook and stir on low for 3 minutes or until it forms a ball. Add food coloring as needed. |
